About Me
Dr. Noelle Schwarz
Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Advocate
Noelle Schwarz, DDS, MA, is an avid suicide prevention and mental health advocate. Noelle's personal experience in the dental field illuminated the current state of mental health within dental schools as well as the lack of available services, cultural stigma, and institutional barriers. She received her dental degree from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of the University of Southern California, her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University and is currently pursuing a Master of Suicidology at Griffith University Australia.
She is adamant that good mental health of practitioners leads to a higher level of all-around care for patients, and this emphasis on mental well-being must start in dental school. Noelle is dedicated to eliminating unnecessary stress, unhealthy competition, and dangerous power imbalances within dental schools and the field and instead empowering dental students and dentists by promoting safe environments, good support systems, and a focus on overall well-being.
Noelle values love, respect, and our universal humanity above all else. Those tiny, messy moments of pure human connection make life magical. We’re all navigating this human experience together, one step at a time.
